It is based on the traditional design of the legendary and charismatic Beobachtungsuhren (B-Uhr or Flieger), which translates as a “spotter watch". This watch was produced in Germany in the 1930s and 40s for aviation purposes. The technical specifications of this watch were determined by the Reich Ministry of Aviation.
Certainly, we understand how the watch looked like in the last century, but we decided to create it the way it could look in our time. For example, we changed the design of the case, which has become more comfortable to wear.
Pilot watch
Our Pilot Watch is equipped with the mechanical watch hand-winding ETA 2801 (Sellita SW210) or with automatic winding ETA 2824 (Sellita SW200) with the maximum power reserve of 38 hours and a maximum deviation of -/+ 12 seconds per day. Today, the ETA 28 series is one of the most reliable ones. Also, our watchmakers make fine adjustments before assembly and achieve an accuracy of -2/+5 seconds.
We also produce dials and hand in-house. After painting the dials, we print them using our high-precision pad printing machine. We use the best materials for production. The pad inks are supplied by Switzerland, for example, Superluminova from the Swiss company Tritec. When printing Superluminova, we apply fewer than ten layers of Superluminova.
On request, we offer side engraving FL23883. Both the side and the cover are engraved using traditional methods - using an engraver (V bit end mill). A single engraving process can take around 40 minutes. The benefit is that our engraving is deeper and "richer" than the laser one.
The hands were also crafted by us from punching to filling Superluminova. In the first step, the hands are punched, then ground and polished by hand. After polishing, the hands are heat-treated using bluing. Only then can Superluminova be applied manually to the hands.
We also offer hands made from precious metals such as gold or platinum.
